Shops lining the entrance to the Asakusa temple. Along here I ate green tea mochi (rice balls) on a stick, and deep fried green tea mochi with sweet adzuki bean paste. Erik bought a stick that was some kind of sesame flavoured fried thing and a sweet hot ginger drink.

Incense bowl outside the temple. People waft the smoke onto the part of their body they want fixed. If you rub it on our head it is thought to help augment your intellligence.

The temple. In front of anything Holy there is a trough into which to throw donations before you have a pray. Similarly you can buy fortunes at a 100yen a time at most of the temples, or pay to light incense or candles.
